Vancouver bloggers take the US!

Based on our survey, several people were interested in doing shopping trips to the US. Since this does require slightly more planning on our end, and in the hopes that more people will participate, I've posted up another quick 10 second survey! This will help us decide the dates of the trip as well as who has a car that we can use to drive down there. We're aiming to do this trip sometime near the end of May and beginning of June.

Apply for IMATS Vancouver Press Pass

IMATS Vancouver is coming up on July 21-22 and our network is planning on being there! Right now, I'm hoping to plan a 2-day beauty weekend for network members with events such as spa/salon visits, company-sponsored events and networking opportunities with company reps. The first stop is IMATS, which we hope some of our network members will attend.

IMATS provides press passes for beauty bloggers and vloggers. If you are a blogger or vlogger, you can apply for a press pass here.

There are some rules to get your press pass:

Vancouver, B.C., Sydney and Toronto shows: 10,000 subscribers minimum for vloggers; traditional blogs must be active for at least one year and the vast majority of posts must be related to make-up. All bloggers must submit a link to site metrics or a screen-grab image displaying numbers of unique visitors per month.

More information on this weekend will be posted up as details are finalized.

Upcoming events!

Here is a list of our (potential) upcoming events. I've taken some of the ideas from the survey that you all filled out as well as chatting with other bloggers to come up with this list and an estimated date.

Late March - Brunch outing
Mid to late April - Makeup/Clothing/Accessories Swap + Potluck
Mid to late May - Spa outing (likely done in collaboration with a spa)
Mid June - Shopping trip to the US
Mid July - IMATS and annual "official" VBLB gathering

Let me know if you have any suggestions. I'm really excited to see attendance at our events has increased by quite a bit. If this continues, we'll try to have events more often and also invite more people.
